Jean Griswold Foundation’s New Focus is on Bettering Caregivers With Griswold Home Care

Blue Bell, PA – February 19, 2021 -- Caregivers are the lifeblood of a home care company. In snow or rain. In heat or high winds. Even in a global pandemic, caregivers go in to homes to provide care and compassion for our loved ones.

That’s why today, in recognition of National Caregivers Day, Griswold Home Care announces the restructuring of its Jean Griswold Foundation to focus on caregiver education, training and needs.

The primary goal of the Foundation is to support caregivers and better their lives. “Why not invest in yourself, your family and your future by joining a company that does everything it can to attract the best caregivers, your most important asset in driving success,” said Griswold Home Care Chief Operating Officer Mike Magid, CSA, CFE. “We are looking for prospective franchisees who are passionate about home care, running a successful business and making a difference in the lives of others and their communities.”

Since its inception in 2010, the Jean Griswold Foundation’s mission was to provide grants to community non-profit organizations that enhance the quality of life for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities who choose to age in place. Now, we are expanding the great work our foundation does to benefit our caregivers and to strengthen our business offering for those looking to join the first non-medical home care franchise in the U.S.

A new annual Jean Griswold Caregiver Scholarship will be awarded to a caregiver in November - 2021. Since the Foundation’s mission is to dignify and enhance the profession of caregiving, recipients need not work for Griswold Home Care.

There will also be Caregiver Support Grants made throughout the year, specifically for Griswold Home Care caregivers in times of hardship. Griswold hopes to award its first grant in April 2021, the anniversary month of the company’s founding.

“With humility and appreciation, we recognize the critical role of our caregivers,” said Griswold Home Care CEO Michael Slupecki. “The Jean Griswold Foundation is one of our differentiators as a home care provider. We are very proud of this move to change the focus of our Foundation and we are looking forward to awarding our first Caregiver Scholarship this year and the first grant to a Griswold Home Care caregiver within the month.
